Life

Isaac: "Dad goes to work because he wants you to stay home and have fun with us kids."

Me: "Isaac, put those plates in the china cabinet."
Isaac: "What's a china cabinet? Oh! I know, where we put all our Chinese stuff."
More or less.

Kate: "Isaac, your fish has red spots all over him."
Isaac: "Oh, he probably just has smallpox."

Isaac: "So, Mom, death is kinda like a portal to heaven?"

After parking next to a convertible: "Mom, that car is broken!" (Noah age 4)

After getting hit in the eyebrow with a metal bat her brother was swinging (and all the blood that ensued) Kate sobbed, "Am I going to die?!"

Isaac: "Mom, I know where babies come from."
Me: "Oh?"
Isaac: "Yeah, each baby is made by the hand of God."

Bill and I were kissing in the pantry when confused Kate asked, "Why are you kissing in the pantry? I like to see you guys kiss." Haha.

Bunny Family

Isaac has been working diligently . . . on his artwork. Three works of art today and it isn't even noon yet. Love that gentle soul. Love his adoration of family.

Little Things

The tea towels in my wooden basket are worn. Quite shredded really. Soon they will all be replaced with fresh, new towels. All the new towels will display the love notes and drawings of my Little Loves. Some are plain. Some vibrant. All made with love.
For this I am thankful.

First Day of School

Kate on her first day of Kindergarten.
Isaac has never been too thrilled about school, but he's tolerant.
His first day of third grade.
Our class pet is bored now that her humans are busy sitting instead of playing. She's going to live for recess.
Noah slept through our morning school classes. This party animal was still up past10:30 last night!
Here's a picture Bill took of him last night before we moved him back to his own bed.

Dandy Little Man

While I was dropping Ike off at school on Wednesday morning, he held up his pointer finger signaling for me to wait. A few seconds later he came back and proudly handed me this beautiful flower and told me that he loved me;) He's so thoughtful and affectionate!
Ike loves to give gifts and this is what he made me for Mother's Day. He informed me on Thursday that he had a surprise for me in his backpack and it was for him to give me on Sunday. We Parramores have a hard time with waiting because not thirty seconds later he was fishing around in his backpack for my Sunday, Mother's Day surprise. And this beautiful Saturn is what he proudly pulled out and excitedly gave to me. It's beautiful and he asked if I would wear it for the next one hundred years. Of course I will!
This is the picture he took of me wearing my beautiful necklace:)
And this is a picture of my wonderful, considerate, and generous oldest son . . .
I love you, Ike!
