While I prepared dinner, I got to listen in on all this goodness. Kate set up her dolls and played with her cousin Bella from Reno via FaceTime. SO. MUCH. JOY.

Embroidery
The UPS man dropped off some embroidery items for Kate.
She immediately got to work on designing a pattern and is now stitching away.

Grandpa's Earth Suit
The wristwatch he wears is sized to fit a strong, sturdy man. It climbs quickly up his raised arm, mocking his frail frame. He is dying. Slowly yet quickly. Eighty-nine is a beautiful, humbling number. Long life. He has lived. It hasn't been easy.
The nurse sets his frail earth suit in the wheelchair and my Aunt, his daughter, steers him to the center of the room. We, his family, gather. He smiles. He STILL smiles.
Gangrene eats his flesh. What there is left of his flesh anyway. He is mostly bones. Mostly spirit. Death is knocking at his door and he smiles. Maybe it's not death knocking. It seems more like heaven calling. And he smiles because he knows. He's about to trade his earth suit for a perfect, heavenly one.

Two of my Loves
My sweet Saturday dates.
Isaac convinced Bill to take him to the grocery store today.
While there a couple days ago, he spotted a Valentine's Day gift that he wanted to get for me.
He walked in the house so proud and announced,
"Happy Early Valentine's Day!"
And he handed me a beautiful little pot of purple flowers.
He has a heart of gold.
__
After spotting her Daddy and I kissing in the kitchen,
Kate (age 5) comes and wraps her arms around us.
"Awe! True love!" she sighed.
Oh! the cuteness.
__
After bath time, I put Noah (age 3) in his new boxer shorts.
"Are we going swimming?!" he exclaimed.
"Nope, they are just unders." I explained.
"Swimming unders?!"
__
I taught Ike (age 9) how to make organic healing salve a few days ago. When I brought out the essential oils and the oil dropper he asked, "Oh, is this Potions class?" Between Kate's "curses" class and Ike's "potion" class people might begin to wonder what kind of homeschool we are running over here.
