We took a field trip to the fair on Friday. In true big brother fashion, Ike put his arm around Noah to keep him feeling safe during the entire ride.

Good Times
During football practice, Isaac (the tallest kid on the team) got paired up against the smallest boy on the team for practicing pushing. Isaac would push the kid over then bend down and pat his head to make sure he was okay.
~
Isaac: "Mom, if Grandpa Sid were alive, he would be really proud of you."
~
On the trip home, Kate looked out the window and shouted, "Isaac! Look! It's AFRICA!" She was still pretty sure it was Africa even after we explained that we were most definitely still in Washington.
~
While at Costco, I announced that we needed to buy food for our trip to the condo. Kate whipped her head around and asked/shouted, "We're going to the CONGO?!"

First Day of School
Kate on her first day of Kindergarten.
Isaac has never been too thrilled about school, but he's tolerant.
His first day of third grade.
Our class pet is bored now that her humans are busy sitting instead of playing. She's going to live for recess.
Noah slept through our morning school classes. This party animal was still up past10:30 last night!
Here's a picture Bill took of him last night before we moved him back to his own bed.

Ike
After coming home from guitar class, Ike just wanted to hold Jonas and take care of him.
SO sweet.
Ike took his first guitar class this week. Here he is playing "Smoke on the Water."
Learning new things makes him quietly confident. It's a beautiful thing.

Pike's Place Beauties
Before Bill came in the door after a long day of work Isaac caught sight of him holding two bouquets of flowers. He shuffled up the stairs as fast as he could and announced with wide eyes and joyous expression, "MOM! Daddy brought you flowers!"
Sweet Kate (age 5) smiled dreamily, giggled a bit, and exclaimed, "Mommy and Daddy are in love!"
